My latest health update.

Well friends…………….I was saved by the bell. That was the title of my last blog. If you haven’t seen it, go to www.healing-blog.com/facebook.  I am overwhelmed with gratitude, love and happiness to see all your beautiful prayers, comments and healing energy.

I was about to have the surgery and got really really sick (I haven’t gotten sick in five years cause I eat so healthy) it turned into some type of pneumonia or chronic cough so I couldn’t have the surgery.  At the same time, Dave posted something on Facebook about the frustration of our situation and praying for a miracle…and one of our good good friends happened to be with a Doctor who has this scientific treatment from Europe and he read my post to him.  He told him that he has an alternative treatment but I needed to come in for some blood tests.

So I trusted in God and in faith…flew to see this Doctor.  I’m so thankful for my surgeon who has given me this flexibility and is understanding.  Losing one quarter of my jaw is nothing easy to deal with…specially cause I speak for a living 🙂  However if that’s the path God wanted for me…I would follow in faith knowing I’m guided…

Here is what we found in the blood tests:

• My white blood cells were very low (they are the fighter cells in the body which fight disease)
• My iron and calcium was very low
• My C-Reactive Protein was extremely high, almost twice the highest amount allotted.  This means that this is a sign of inflamation in my body….AND………….this would have meant that I was at high risk for a heart attack or stroke!!!!  The maximum amt. is 3.0 and I was over 6.55.  Thank God that I didn’t have surgery.  My body was not in any shape or form ready for it, so I’m thankful I got sick…….

So I come to meet this new doctor — and by the way, the lab tests are from an independent lab — he purposely does that to track the success of the treatment.  This is a scientific treatment used in Europe for similar situations.  I was very very confused. Had just packed six suitcases and a water filter (yes, I’m crazy but I wanted good water to speed up my healing, alkaline water is scientifically proven to speed up the healing process).  And now we were flying back to see a new doctor?  Were Dave and I crazy?  Or just crazy faithful?

Doctor asked me to get off all supplements.  Sometimes supplements can help you but many times they get in the way of the body being able to fight this on its own.  There was a huge blizzard.  It was so cold outside.  I felt cold inside.  Cold, confused, happy, hot, all types of feelings inside.  I was supposed to be bedridden this week — instead I’m seeing  a new doctor and have HOPE again??  Thank you God!  Thank you everyone for the prayers, healing energy, we as a a huge community with an amazing intention were able to create and attract a miracle…

So thankful for Dave!

Within five days my white blood cells were at normal levels, my iron and calcium were at normal levels and my C-Reactive Protein was at 0.27.  Should I call him the Miracle Doc?  In just five days with his treatment my body came back to normal levels.  He first wanted to get my white blood cells to normal levels so we can use the power of my body to fight this tumor.

Then the next phase of treatment started last week.  No pain, it’s something simple which I was able to bring with me to Dallas.  Awhhhhhhh how sweet it is to be home again……

We will take a few days – maybe weeks for the treatment to show results, can’t take an xray until it’s done.

One thing though…I AM HOPEFUL.  I AM FAITHFUL.  I know this will work and my faith has only gotten bigger.

Every challenge in our life we have turned into a gift.  When my father in law passed away, we started an orphanage. When I was diagnosed with ameloblastoma, we started the healing blog to help people.
