10 DAY CHALLENGE: NO PILLS, NO LOTIONS, NO POTIONS!
Get rid of that unwanted baggage around your body
What is the best way to lose weight naturally? Have you noticed that your health is the MOST IMPORTANT thing to you when it comes to happiness in relationships, wealth building and success? If you don’t feel good about yourself, you won’t have the inner strength or confidence to take the right actions to win in life. Your daily choices in food affect your results in OTHER areas of your life. You create an upward or a downward domino effect by the choices in the food you eat.
For example, if you eat unhealthy, drink alcohol, then you might wake up late, skip the gym, and start your day on a negative note with lower energy. However, if you want to lose weight naturally and you choose to eat healthy, drink water, work out, you instead create an upward effect in your life, creating great results in your self-confidence, having more time in your day, influencing your positive mindset, and moving upward in your life, your health and your wealth!
Dave and I have been fit and lean for six years now. We have been living examples of the best way to lose weight naturally and live a life full of energy. We practice what we preach. We live a high standard. But it didn’t always used to be that way. We started out by shifting one or two things, conditioned them in, then did a few others. Here is our ten day challenge to get fit, re-energize, and get rid of that unwanted baggage in our bodies!
- NO SUGAR (fruit ok, only for breakfast, but it has to be fresh) Use Stevia as a sweetener it’s a natural root sweetener with no chemicals. At wholefoods online shopping you can just order them tonight!
- HYDRATE: ½ YOUR BODY WEIGHT IN OUNCES (add lemon to water)
- 50% LIVE FOODS (50% of your food portion is a salad or veggies – try to have at least 1 salad & 1 veggie with every meal)
- NO MEAT OR REDUCE TO 1 GRILLED MEAT PORTION A DAY (size of your palm and only with 2 servings of veggies or a big salad (ABSOLUTELY NO RED MEAT, ORGANIC CHICKEN OR GRILLED FISH ONLY). Of all toxic chemicals found in food, 95 to 99% come from meat, fish dairy and eggs. Food and drug administration found that bacon had 48 different pesticide residues, luncheon meats 102, fast food hamburgers 113. The US uses one billion lbs of pesticides every year on our food, plus the growth hormones. Every time you eat factory farmed meat or dairy, you are eating antibiotics, pesticides, steroids and hormones.
- ELIMINATE DAIRY (The undigested lactose and the acidic nature of pasteurized milk encourage the growth of bacteria in our intestines, which contributes to greater risk of cancer because cancer cells thrive in acidic conditions). Substitutes: organic rice milk, soy milk or almond milk. According to Dr. Colin Campbell’s protein study, cancer was consistenly promoted by casein, which makes up 87% of the cow’s milk protein. Cow babies drink milk, adult cows don’t drink milk. What makes us think that human adults need cow’s milk? Dairy leads to mucus production, allergies, cancer. Best way to obtain calcium: take calcium vitamins 500 MG a day (whole foods is best location to purchase). You can order this online from Wholefoods or go shopping at the natural health store, almond milk or rice milk. There are conflicting reports about soymilk.
- ELIMINATE WHITE FLOWER, TORTILLAS AND BREAD FOR 10 DAYS
- ELIMINATE THE POISONS (ALCOHOL, NICOTINE, CAFFEINE, ESPECIALLY RED BULL & COFFEE) Herbal teas are okay without caffeine.
- ALKALIZE YOUR BODY– GREEN POWDER, CHLOROPHIL OR VEG JUICE (1 OR 2 A DAY). You can buy Super Greens at Wholefoods online shopping or your local health food store and add the green powder to your water. This alkalizes your system and gets rid of the acidic environment in which toxic bacteria and fungus live! (yes this happens in your body). Buy PH strips at WholeFoods and test your alkalinity level every day. Level over 7 is alkaline, under 7 is acid! If your body is acid, you are building more fat. If it’s alkaline, you are cleansing your body and flushing out the toxins.
- GET RID OF FRIED FOODS.
- TAKE your 3-6-9 oils (We recommend you buy UDO’s Oil in refrigerated section of Whole Foods – take 2 teaspoons a day or buy Omega 3-6-9 vitamins.) It’s critical that your body has the healthy oils in order for you to burn fat! If you want to lose weight naturally, this is a must. Also, stay away from the bleached oils (your regular frying oils). Cook in grapeseed oil or coconut oil. Again, Wholefoods or nature store is your place! Remember, you can go online shopping with Wholefoods and they will deliver, in case you don’t have a nearby wholefoods.
10. MUST WORK OUT FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES A DAY FOR 6 OUT OF THE 7 DAYS! IF YOU MISS ONE DAY, DOUBLE THE WORK OUT THE NEXT DAY. You can walk, bike, dance, rebound, hike or any type of physical activity as long as it’s for 20 minutes.

I am starting the new year with a new challenge.
I’m starting with getting Healthy so I can get wealthy. Without good health nothing else much matters.
OK here goes…. on Dec 15th 2010, I had a very near death experience. When I arrived at my new Dr.’s office, my BP was 220/116. I was a walking time bomb ready to burst. Without getting into all the particulars, this was and still is a traumatic time for me. I since have searched more vigorously for the “right”answer for ‘just’ me. Most of what you have above is something I already have written into my plan. (I am going to do raw trying at least for about 80%)
I have a couple of questions though… you mentioned oils coconut or grape seed versus olive oil… any reason? I am asking because olive oil has the ‘good fats’.
My other question is to do with the greens. I am a bit confused about the greens right now as I mentioned I want to do a high percentage of raw. What exactly is in the greens? Can I create this from the live foods? Feel free to send me an email.

Thank you for sharing Elizabeth..I am so proud of you and your search for the right answer!! Grape seed oil and coconut oil are the only ones that do not become toxic and can stand the high heat setting when cooking. From what I’ve learned is that all the other oils (including olive oil) when cooked, become toxic and toxicity leads to cancer. So when cooking, best to use those too. I still use uncooked olive oil with my salads! I will also steam my veggies and after they are steamed I will drizzle olive oil on them 🙂
In regards to the greens, they help a lot with the alkalinity in your body. So I buy super-greens from Whole Foods and add them to my water so I can drink this throughout the day. Greens is basically all types of vegetable in powder form, with no additives or chemicals. I use Dr. Young’s “Young Phorever” greens they are the most complete and nutritionally balanced. Go to his website Dr. Young http://www.phmiracleliving.com. Or go to wholefoods and my second best choice is “Amazing Grass” Green Super Food I love the berry flavor. DRINK LOTS OF WATER preferably alkaline water if you can. This will really help out! Lots of love
I have no problem with the 10 day challenge, the problem I have is with what to replace the things I take away. Not to sure on how or what to replace my meals with. Could you give a weeks menu or something to go by. Just a thought.
